I finished writing a short story by hand, my first stand-alone short piece of fiction in many years. I have written it over several nights in a pub. The patrons are now talking about story structure and themes instead of football. Many have borrowed pen and paper.
Last night I dropped by and two were busy writing, heads bowed over their work. 'Tis a good thing.
I wrote two pages of story boards after having lunch with three of my friends and then I wrote it straight through with no edits or alterations. I'm eager to write the next.
The proprietor of the pub asked me to leave the story on the bar because guys have been asking if they could read it. Not sure about doing that - I think I need to transcribe it into my iPad first.
